Estimates use labor revenue only. Parts margin, taxes and one-off costs are not included, and real numbers depend on job mix and bay utilization.

How the math works. And what it leaves out.

  • Revenue is labor only

Weekly revenue is your labor rate × hours per job × jobs per week. Parts margin is not included.

  • Monthly costs become weekly

Payroll (employees × monthly salary) and monthly overhead are divided by 4.33, the average number of weeks in a month.

  • Profit and margin

Weekly profit is revenue minus payroll and overhead. Annual profit is weekly profit × 52. Margin is weekly profit as a share of revenue.

  • Taxes and one-off costs are out

Real numbers depend on job mix and bay utilization, so treat the result as an estimate.

  • The tips use fixed thresholds

You see a tip when margin is under 20%, each employee handles more than 7 jobs a week, or revenue per job is under 500 in your currency. They are rules of thumb, not benchmarks for your market.

  • The starting values are examples

They are not market averages. Replace them with your own numbers.
