    Pick the customer and vehicle, or open it from a booking to load its work and parts. Add parts from your inventory, labor by the quarter hour, kits and outside work. Attach photos and video to any line so the customer sees why it's needed.

    autoGMS opens WhatsApp with the message and link ready, and you tap send. Or download the PDF and send it your own way.

  3. 3 The customer decides

    They approve, hold or decline each line, or everything at once, and can leave you a note. If they say yes on the phone, mark it approved yourself.

  4. 4 Book the approved work

    Approved work moves onto the booking. For a quote with no booking yet, create the booking from it without retyping. A partial approval books only the approved lines.

  • A customer calls for a quote

    Standalone estimate

    Just the customer and vehicle, no booking. Once it's approved, create the booking from it without retyping anything.

  • The car is already booked in

    Booking estimate

    The booking's work, prices and assigned parts load in. If the estimate already has lines, autoGMS asks before changing them.

  • A long job in stages

    Stage estimate

    With Project Mode on, tie an estimate to one stage, so the customer approves the job a phase at a time.

Set your defaults once. Estimate settings hold your number prefix, how many days an estimate stays valid, a default deposit and your terms.

Where it stops. Better to know now.

  • Labor hours and parts are yours to set. You set labor hours yourself, and parts come from your own inventory.
  • Out-of-stock parts can't be quoted. autoGMS blocks a part with no stock, and any quantity above what you have.
  • Sending is WhatsApp only. The send button opens WhatsApp with the link ready, and you tap send. For email, download the PDF and send it yourself.
  • It isn't a compliance check. autoGMS keeps each decision and an activity timeline. Whether that meets your state's repair-authorization rules is yours to confirm.

Questions shops ask

Can the customer approve only part of it?

Yes. They approve, hold or decline each line. For a quote with no booking yet, Book approved items creates the booking from the approved lines only. Declined and held lines stay on the record and come back as recommended work at the customer's next visit.

What if the customer says yes on the phone?

Click Mark approved. It records that your staff approved it and marks every line approved.

Can I change an estimate after it's approved?

Yes. Edit creates a new version, and the approved one stays locked. Before you save, autoGMS shows what was added, changed or removed, with the old and new totals. Once the job moves past in service, estimate changes lock and corrections go through the invoice.

How is labor priced?

Use a tech's hourly rate or your shop rate. Turn on shop labor rates to set rates by cylinder count or by brand, with a default rate for everything else. Labor time goes in 15-minute steps.

How is tax handled?

autoGMS applies the tax rate from your settings and shows it as its own line above the total.
