Auto repair service reminders. Bring customers back automatically.

Pick the services that get reminders and autoGMS schedules one after each matching job, then emails it automatically when it's due. Google review requests and job updates go out by WhatsApp.

Email reminder sent
  • 90 days default wait after a job before the reminder, adjustable from 1 to 365 days
  • 30 days default cooldown before the same customer gets another
  • 4 message styles: Standard, Friendly, Short and Follow up, or write your own
  • 5 active reminders per completed job at most

From a finished job to the next visit in three steps.

  1. 1 Set the rule once

Pick the services that get reminders, how many days to wait after the job, and a message style. Choose email, WhatsApp or both.

  2. 2 Each finished job gets a date

When a matching job is completed, autoGMS schedules the reminder. You can also schedule one by hand from any completed job, from a week to a year out.

  3. 3 It goes out on the day

Email sends on its own, even with nobody logged in. For WhatsApp, a button appears on the due date. Tap it, check the message and send.

Three ways to follow up. Each with its own channel.

  • Weeks or months after a job

    Service reminders

By email, WhatsApp or both. Automatic for the services you pick, or scheduled one at a time.

  • Right after a job

    Google review requests

A WhatsApp message with your Google review link. Add the link once, then send a request from any completed job.

  • While the car is in the shop

    WhatsApp updates

Pick one of six updates, such as Booking confirmed, Work started or On hold. WhatsApp opens with the message ready, and you tap send.

Opted out means left out. Customers on the do-not-send list are left out of review requests.

Where it stops. Better to know now.

  • Reminders go by email and WhatsApp. Reminders go by email and WhatsApp, and UK garages can add SMS reminders under their own sender name with a paid add-on. Review requests go by WhatsApp only, so they reach customers who use WhatsApp on the number you have.
  • WhatsApp reminders aren't automatic. When one is due, autoGMS opens WhatsApp with the message ready, and you tap send. Email reminders go out on their own, and so do SMS reminders for UK garages with the add-on.
  • Review requests are included. Review requests are included in Core.
  • It starts from a completed job. Reminders and review requests need a completed job. Automatic rules don't go back to jobs finished before you saved them.

Questions shops ask

Does someone need to be logged in for reminders to go out?

No. Scheduled email reminders go out from the server on the date, whether or not anyone is logged in. WhatsApp reminders wait for you to tap send.

Can I change or stop a reminder?

Yes, while it's still Pending. Once it's sent, it can't be changed or undone.

What if the customer has no email or phone number on file?

Add it in the reminder dialog. It's used for that reminder.

Are review requests included?

Yes, in Core. Add your Google review link once, then send a request by WhatsApp from any completed job.

Where can I see what a customer was sent?

The customer's Communication tab lists email delivery and WhatsApp activity. An "Opened WhatsApp" entry means the draft was opened, not that it was sent.
