Technician management software. The right tech on every car.

Give each tech their skills and a limit of 1 to 10 active jobs. When a job starts, autoGMS ranks your techs by skill, workload and vehicle type, and you pick one or several.

Best match · 90%
  • 8 skill categories, such as repair and maintenance
  • 3 skill levels: Basic, Intermediate, Expert
  • 1 to 10 active jobs per technician, the Maximum concurrent jobs you set
  • 3 roles on a job: one Primary, a Secondary and Assistants

From the team list to the bay in four steps.

  1. 1 Add your techs

Enter each tech's email. They get an invite, set a password and log in to see their jobs.

  2. 2 Set skills and limits

Pick skill categories, such as repair or maintenance, at Basic, Intermediate or Expert. Set each tech's Maximum concurrent jobs, from 1 to 10 active jobs (3 by default), and any vehicle types they prefer.

  3. 3 Assign when the job starts

autoGMS ranks your techs by match score and flags the best match. Pick one or more. The first is Primary, the second Secondary, and the rest are Assistants.

  4. 4 Techs work from their own list

Each tech sees only their own jobs, in a phone or desktop browser. They can add photos, do the inspection and complete the job.

Roles decide who sees what. Give each person the access they need.

  • Runs the business

    Owner and Admin

Everything, finances included. Only the owner handles billing and the subscription.

  • Runs the floor

    Manager

Day-to-day operations and reports. Can add techs and service advisors.

  • At the front desk

    Service advisor

Bookings, customers, estimates and invoices. No bays, inventory or reports.

  • In the bay

    Technician

Their own jobs and the bays. No invoices, financial reports or settings.

Adjust it for your shop. The owner can switch pages on or off for each role, and add custom roles such as Workshop Lead.

Where it stops. Better to know now.

  • Pay starts from a monthly salary. You can record a tech's monthly salary and expected hours, and autoGMS works out the hourly cost.
  • No efficiency scores. Team Performance counts jobs assigned, active, completed and cancelled, and time to complete. It doesn't score efficiency or name a top performer.
  • The ranking suggests. You decide. autoGMS won't stop you assigning a busy tech. It can only rank on skill once you've set skills for your techs and a required level for your services.
  • No separate technician app. Techs use autoGMS in their phone's browser, and can add it to the home screen.

Questions shops ask

Can more than one tech work on a job?

Yes. Add a Primary, a Secondary and as many Assistants as the job needs.

Can techs see invoices or financial reports?

No. Techs can't open invoices, expenses, financial reports or settings, and those pages can't be switched on for them.

How does a tech know they have a new job?

It shows up in their list as soon as you assign it, with no refresh needed.

What happens when a tech leaves?

Remove them and they lose access. Their past jobs and records stay in autoGMS.
